Better to jump into 50 foot deep warm NY lake in September or drift in chilly July current of Yukon? Just apples or oranges-choices in life.

I was raised to age 12 in Alaska's Interior along the Yukon River. I left then to enter a public high school in Lake Placid, NY and live with my Uncle Mike. A year later, my mom joined me so I could obtain a more challenging education. My sister Katrina attends school in Ruby in a multi-grade class.So do my nephews. My dad is a Koyukon Athabascan Indian and my mom is Caucasian. We have a subsistence lifestyle and my dad makes traditional Native crafts like fish wheels and dog team sleds.He is nationally recognized Master Native Snowshoe Craftsman (see Albertsnowshoes Blog).I like to snowshoe, run, draw with pencil, explore the woods and computer games and meet all kinds of new people.
